The research group reaches across a wide field of studies of social inequality and change:

• Inclusion and integration issues in a multi-ethnic and pluralistic society
• International migration
• Gender relations and equality policy

A cross-disciplinary group whose research addresses four academic fields comprising of important social, political and social scientific arenas:

• Political behaviour, participation and democracy;
• democratic institutions and process;
• public policy;
• civil society and voluntary organisation.

Research combines a national and a comparative perspective on these fields and is conducted in collaboration with national and international research centres and networks.
