This is a state of the art report about primarly Norwegian research on immigrants’ and ethnic minorites parti-ciation in the voluntary sector. The first part concerns so-called immigrant organisations or ethnically based organisations. The other is about immigrants’ participation in the voluntary sector in general, with particular emphasis on sport associations, children- and youth organisations and the trade unions.
The aim is to compile and synthesise existing research on these issues in order to help us identify some of the most crucial questions for further research in this field.
