The bibliography is divided in two main parts – «Books and reports» and «Articles in books and periodicals». The material is arranged chronologically. The title index points to the assigned reference number. The bibliography aims to be a complete listing of Henry Valen´s published material. Not included are unpublished lectures, preliminary papers, unpublished conference papers, tables/numerical data collections, offprints, newspaper articles/chronicles and interviews. All factual information is, as far as possible, checked against the original publication. The bibliography ends with 2003, but Henry Valen is still publishing.
