Tidsskrift for samfunnsforskning (TfS)
Tidsskrift for samfunnsforskning (TfS) [Journal of Social Research] provides results from contemporary social research projects for a wider audience, in four annual issues. Articles are mainly published (in Norwegian) by Norwegian social researchers, based on empirical research. The journal also contains state of the art reports, debate articles, contributions to reserach policy, notes and book reviews. Special issues are occasionally published. The first issue of TfS was published in 1960. The journal is published in co-operation with Universitetsforlaget.
Manuscripts are reviewed by two anonymous consultants in order to ensure that published articles maintain a high academic level.
TfS is indexed here, among other places:
- Sociological Abstracts
- Social Sciences Citation Index
- Current Contents - Social and Behavioral Sciences
- Studies on Women and Gender Abstracts
- Sociology of Education Abstracts
- Historical Abstracts
TfS is the only Norwegian social research journal to be indexed in ISI Web of Science. This implies that author name, title, abstract and quoted references are included in this important international citation database.
