Evaluation of Article 21 in the Gender Equality Act
The evaluation consists of four main elements. First, a general description of the legal situation in regards of Article 21. Second, a description of how the article is used, based on a questionnaire to all the ministries; on interviews with central informants in the ministries following up and elaborating on the questionnaire; a mapping of the admission to apply for exemption and how the admission to exemption is practiced. The study will also examine whether the Ministry of Children and Equality supervise appointments of committees etc. in violation of the Act. Third, the project will assess whether the article function according to practice, based on statistics, information from the survey and the interviews. Fourth, there will be given suggestions in concern of possible changes in the Act/regulation.
